Roasted Brussels sprouts

Prep Notes

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C and line baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, toss together the brussels sprouts, olive oil, soja sauce, garlic, ginger, salt and red pepper flakes. Place the sprouts with the mixture on the baking sheet

3. Roast for 20-25 minutes, turning once, or until golden. If the sprouts are really big, you might need more time!

4. Top with sesame seeds!

Ingredients

450 gr brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp soja sauce (tamari or shoyu)

1 clove garlic, minced

1 of 2cm piece ginger, peeled and grated

pinch of sea salt

pinch of red pepper flakes

1 tbsp sesame seeds


Notes

Carefult! These are addictive! When I moved to Belgium, I did not know any other than to cook the Brussels sprouts in a traditional way. However, try these asian-flavoured Brussels sprouts and you'll never want to go back again! Give me more!
